NODE 14: The Lunar Companion

This large stone (#9) stands to the southwest outside the main circle, unaligned with the Southern Row. One researcher, B. Somerville, suggested 1912 that it formed an alignment with stone #34 (see Node 03) to trace the path of the moon. The stone is not the remnants of a long gone second concentric circle.
